Meet Andreas Uppgård from Dalarna, Sweden. Andreas’s farm is about 500 hectares, where he grows approximately 150 hectares of potatoes and the rest in cereals like wheat, oats and barley.
Andreas’s farm sits right next to the Dalälven River. So, the top priority that Andreas had when buying a new sprayer was “A sprayer that keeps drift to an absolute minimum.” This way, he could make sure that no spray drift could end up where it shouldn’t.
Andreas had been using the HARDI COMMANDER for several years in the past. And in June 2024, he got his new HARDI AEON CENTURA line 7000, with 36-meter TWIN FORCE boom and PulseSystem.
“I hold a municipal permit for spraying in a water protection area. So, I wanted a sprayer that keeps the product where it belongs and does the job best,” says Andreas Uppgård.
With the adjustable air curtains to entrain and direct the spray, HARDI TWIN can reduce the drift by up to 80%*. This means that you get the maximum coverage and minimum waste, with close to no loss of plant protection products or contamination of nearby areas.

“I can see on the screen in the tractor how the spray changes across the boom when I turn. There are no patches left untreated, and I also don’t see any weeds left behind.” Says Andreas.
Andreas also notes that the use of the PulseSystem has led him to fewer issues with clogged nozzles. This is because the PulseSystem automatically keeps the nozzles open from 30 -100% at the same pressure flow. Therefore, the same nozzles can be used at several different driving speeds without having to switch nozzles.

The HARDI AEON is available with a capacity from 4200 litres to 7000 litres. Similarly, the dual rinse tanks on each side give excellent weight distribution. This means you can have better stability, precision, and make the spraying experience easier.
Despite the advanced features, Andreas says the AEON is simple to use. He notes that the FluidBox 8000 at the fill zone is very helpful and has made the filling process simple and easy to use.
He also points out that the HC8700 screen in the tractor took a bit more time to learn, but he is getting used to it. “If I can understand how it works, then probably anyone can,” he says with a smile.
As a closing note, Andreas says that he is overall happy with his new AEON. He further notes, “I received fantastic support during the startup, service and the follow-ups from HARDI”.
We at HARDI are proud and grateful for the long-standing support we have received from the Uppgård family over many years.
