100 Years of Grit and Glory: The Centenary 2024 Hardi 24 Hour Trial

This July marks a historic milestone as the Hardi 24 Hour Trial celebrates a century of endurance, camaraderie, and adrenaline-pumping action. Since its inception in 1924, this iconic motorcycle reliability trial has pushed riders and machines to their limits, becoming Australia’s ultimate test of stamina and skill.

Chairperson Shane Diener and his dedicated committee have once again orchestrated a spectacular event set against the rugged backdrop of Hardi Country. From July 12-14, riders from across the country and abroad from Wales and Taiwan will converge in Kapunda, South Australia, to embark on a gruelling journey that demands unwavering determination and resilience.

"We're thrilled to reach this incredible milestone of 100 years," said Chairperson Shane Diener. "It's a testament to the enduring spirit of our volunteers and the unwavering support of our community. This event is not just a competition; it's a celebration of heritage and a showcase of the best in International motorcycle endurance."

The Hardi 24 Hour Trial challenges participants to navigate a demanding course under strict rules: no outside assistance, just pure rider and machine against the elements, which in past years have included heavy fog and large rainfall events. With a course notorious for its toughness, both bike and rider face daunting physical and mental challenges, leading to an attrition rate that highlights the true grit required to finish.

"We extend our best wishes to all competitors," commented Zac Harnett, National Sales Manager, Hardi Australia.

"While victory is an honour, the bonds forged, and memories created endure far beyond the finish line. We invite everyone to visit the Hardi Hub, where the spirit of this event comes alive, and explore our latest innovations like the Self-Propelled Hardi Saritor, designed to revolutionize agricultural efficiency."

The event, proudly sponsored by HARDI Australia, kicks off at the Kapunda Harness track starting at 11:00am on Saturday morning, marking another chapter in the event's rich history alternating between Eudunda and Kapunda.

"We are deeply grateful to the 25 landholders whose support allows us to bring this event to life," added the spokesperson. "Their generosity ensures that this tradition continues to thrive, supporting both the spirit of competition and the rural communities that sustain our nation." said Harnett.

As Australia's leading provider of agricultural equipment, Hardi Australia remains committed to supporting events like the Hardi 24 Hour Trial and the hardworking farmers who drive our nation’s agricultural backbone. Their dedication to durability and reliability mirrors the enduring spirit of the Hardi 24 Hour Trial itself.

Join us for a weekend of heart-pounding excitement, camaraderie, and memories that will resonate for another century. Let's make this centenary celebration a record-breaking testament to Australia’s enduring passion for motorcycling and community.
